The Garda have been abrogating their lawful
duties for many years in the Irish Republic! It
finally was exposed when it came to public notice
recently on St Patricks Day 24th March 2009. This
story began to unfold on the RTE radio program
The Joe Duffy Show, when a woman phoned in and
told Duffy about attacks in Tipperary Town on St
Patricks Day 2009. She gave a false name to
protect her identity! She described attacks on a
group of American tourists on the streets of
Tipperary Town on St Patricks Day. She told of a
group of men, who we later discovered were from a
settled travellers family, attacking a US tourist
who was punched and kicked whilst on the ground.
In the days which followed more revelations were
exposed about a tirade of assaults by this group
of men who were all related to each other in some
way. However, at first people were afraid to
speak out on RTE radio but more people phoned in
and the listeners found out about the terror this
family had been reating FOR
SEVERAL YEARS, not only on St
Patricks Day! We heard about attacks on children
who were punched on the face by members of this
thugish family and they then declared that - "they
run this town!" The American
tourist turned out to be a lawyer and after he
was treated in Irish hospitals he immediately
flew with his other two lady friends back to the
USA where he lived. After a few days Duffy phoned
him up in the USA and we discovered many
unsavoury truths about the behaviour of the Garda
in Tipperary Town! We discovered that the Garda
showed no desire to investigate his assault but
they said they knew who was responsible. This
revelation that the Garda were unwilling to take
action against these thugs was exposed to all of
the listeners to Duffys radio program! Several
other people phoned in and told a similar story
after assaults on them and on members of their
families, not only on St Patricks Day,
but this had been going on for several years
prior to this incident. One elderly man,
who knew the thugs personally, was attacked and
hit over the head with an advertising board after
he came out of a shop. He went to the Garda
station and reported the attack, only to be told
by the cops that they it would not be wise to
make a formal complaint against these men, as it
would only result in further violence from the
thugs in the future!
This was the first admission of failure to do
their duty as law enforcers! This effectively
gives the green light for criminals of all sorts
to do what they like and get away with it because
THEY KNEW
the cops would not arrest them! NB: This type of
Garda behaviour (tactics) has been noticed before
and in other towns in the Irish Republic the
local Garda have been doing exactly the same
thing: they have turning a blind eye to drug
dealing and to crimes by local thugs.
It was evident that the thugs were
above the law and THEY knew it!
Another woman phoned and told her story. She
was either English or was Irish with an english
accent! She was a single parent living in a
council house in Tipperary Town who told of a
campaign of assaults on her and her property over
6 years by a group of thugs. She told of
attacks on her home and how several of her cars
were destroyed by these young thugs and when she
went to the Garda they told her they would do
nothing about it! She went to her local
councillors and to at least one serving TD (MP)
but they could not get the Garda to take any
action against the thugs involved! NB: The
English woman, who now lives secretly in another
area after she was forced to move house,
declaring herself as homeless, had been listening
to the previous callers on Duffys program. She
pointed out that a particular TD, who had been
speaking on Duffys show regarding these thugs and
who denied that he was aware of the accusations
against this group of men, had been the very TD
she had gone to for help after she had been
attacked for so many years! The English woman
said that she had lived in hell for 6 years and
the councillors, TDs and cops refused to
help her!
It is evident that only for the first
brave woman who came onto the Duffy show and who
spoke out, even on threat of violence against
her, the Garda would still be refusing to do
their lawful duty and arrest criminals!
And secondly, as the thugs made the
mistake of attacking an American tourist, who
just happened to be a lawyer, (drawing attention
from an international audience) it probably would
never have been exposed.
So to sum up: the cops
consistently refused to arrest criminals even
though numerous victims were prepared to press
charges against them!
Theres something going
on here regarding the cops in Tipperary Town!

One morning, I believe it was
the 31st March 2009 or the 1st April 2009 on the
Pat Kenny morning radio program on RTE , there
was a discussion about a proposed phone number,
to allow calls to be made by persons willing to
give information anonomously about criminals and
drug dealing. However, Pat Kenny and several
callers were sceptical about this socalled
independent initiative to help the Garda catch
criminals! One caller who emailed in pointed out
that he lived opposite a Dublin railway Station
and he said that drug dealers were openly selling
drugs without any hundrance from the Garda and
the same thing was taking place all over Dublin!
It seems that the Garda are making no attempts to
arrest drug dealers at this time and they are
confidently selling drugs in the most
conspicuoius of places in Dublin!
In the late 1990s, Fine Gael TD
Jim Mitchell, now deceased, complained on RTE
radio and TV when he witnessed drug dealers
openly selling drugs on the streets of Dublin,
whilst Garda on foot patrol walked by and ignored
their criminal activities!
Nothing has changed, except its
got worse and on an immense scale!
The Garda must think that the
public cant see that they are blatantly flouting
the law, the law they are paid to uphold!
The Garda obviously
think the public are fools!
One case that springs to mind
is the Frank Shortt case in Donegal. He was
fitted up by Garda for selling drugs in his
nightclub in County Donegal and subsequently was
sent to jail, but after several years he was
released and set free. His case was highlighted
in an RTE TV program which showed that Garda had
deliberately fitted him up for selling drugs in
his nightclub!
I have no doubt that the Frank
Shortt arrest was a PR exercise by the Garda to
make the public think that they were tackling
drug crime in the state, when in reality they are
protecting the drug dealers and the pushers!
However, drugs are being sold
in numerous other night clubs, dances, discos and
pubs all over Ireland and few if any drug dealers
are being arrested by Garda at the time drugs are
being sold in the clubs! The Garda are, it is
reported in the press, making seizures of drugs
but what is the fate of the seized drugs
consignments? Are there independent witnesses to
verify that these seized drugs are destroyed? No!
My immediated thought is:
maybe these seized drugs are being quietly
re-circulated back to the drug dealers and
pushers!
Police forces in other
countries have been proven to be involved with
Organised Crime Networks - so why should the
Irish people think that their police force would
be different?
To think that the Garda
are above suspicion is foolish and naive - given
their track record in recent years!
Tipperary Town is only
one town of many in the Irish Republic where the
Garda are applying the same criminal tactics! The
same sort of thing happened to me when I lived in
Kilkenny, between 1994-2004. A relation of a
serving Garda Detective Sergeant attacked me
physically on at least one occasion, harrassed me
with loud music night and day over a long period,
but nothing was done against this Born Again
Christian cult member. NB: The Garda sergeant was
also a member of a Born Again Cult with several
"house church" properties in Kilkenny
City. There are a number of Garda in Kilkenny and
in other towns who are both members of the Born
Again Charismatic "Christian" cult and
who also attend their local RC church in the role
of eucharistic priests!

Six held over Tipperary town attacks

FOUR MEN have been arrested for questioning as
part of a major Garda operation into serious
disturbances in Tipperary town on St
Patrick’s Day.
The arrests bring to six the number of people
detained for questioning about the violence.
Just after 7am yesterday local gardaí backed
by members from national units began a
co-ordinated operation in Tipperary town during
which the four suspects were detained.
The operation involved armed members of the
new regional support units, the Garda helicopter
and the Garda’s new mobile command and
control unit. The four suspects, who are in their
20s, were detained under Section 4 of the
Criminal Justice Act.
They were being questioned at Cahir and
Tipperary town Garda stations last night on
suspicion of violent disorder in Tipperary town
on St Patrick’s Day.
Up to 10 people were injured, many of them
hospitalised, after a group of six young men
known to gardaí harassed and assaulted people in
the town over a period of about six hours on the
afternoon and early evening of St Patrick’s
Day.
One of the injured was an American man in his
20s who was in Tipperary with his wife and
sister. He was set upon and badly beaten by three
of the group after he had crossed the road in the
town to avoid the men as they assaulted another
person.
The American man was badly beaten around the
head and suffered a broken nose, severe bruising
and a suspected fractured eye socket. He was
treated at three hospitals, in Tipperary,
Waterford and Dublin and has since returned to
the US.
A number of the other victims were men in
their 60s or much younger men in their late
teens. Some received punches to the face as they
walked in the town, while others were more
severely beaten and required stitches to head
wounds.
It is understood the group responsible for the
violence began drinking on the streets of the
town early on the day in question.
The first two people detained were arrested in
Tipperary town on St Patrick’s Day.
The two men, who have addresses in the town
and are aged 18 and 22 years, were brought before
Cashel District Court on March 18th and were
remanded in custody.
They are due to appear before Tipperary
District Court this morning to face a range of
charges including intoxication, threatening
behaviour and assault.
Both of these men are related to each other
and are also related to the four men arrested
yesterday.
Gardaí have taken statements from a number of
people assaulted on St Patrick’s Day and it
is understood a number of these have been able to
identify their attackers. Some of the incidents
were also captured on CCTV.

Comment: by locals or listeners to the Duffy
radio program:
Lay off knocking the ordinary people of Tipp
town .
The Gardai had better get their act together and
keep contant pressure on these individuals .
Watch them , harry them , hassle them , arrest
them .
Prosecute them .
People have no faith in the law and are hesitant
to stand witness against this scum because of
fear of retribution .
Gardai do not rule the streets and this is the
problem .
For a society to have faith in the law the
gaurdians of the law must project to ordinary
citizens that they are in control . This is
plainly not the case in Ireland and Tipp town is
the example being highlighted on this thread .
I said it on a previous post and I'm sorry to
have to say it but
the Gardai are scours , gutless cowards .

One woman on the radio today, made a very
serious allegation that when her daughter and her
boyfriend were assaulted in Tipp town last
September, she claims that the guards would not
let her daughter make a statement identifying the
culprits, they said they would not let her do
this for her own safety.
Surely if this were proved to be true, the guards
themselves should be brought up before the courts
for obstructing justice. How on earth are they
ever going to get these lads if they are advising
people against making statements.
